Description

A spooky and festive latte perfect for Halloween or any time you want to embrace the magic of the season. This creamy, pumpkin-flavored latte is spiced with cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, creating a warm, cozy, and slightly mysterious drink that’s perfect for chilling on a crisp autumn day.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup milk (or non-dairy milk)
  • 1 shot of espresso (or 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee)
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin puree
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or sweetener of choice)
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream (optional, for topping)
  • Ground cinnamon or pumpkin spice (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Heat the milk: In a small saucepan, warm the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  • Prepare the pumpkin mixture: In a separate bowl or small saucepan, combine the pumpkin puree, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth and heated through.
  • Brew the espresso: While the milk is heating, brew your espresso shot (or prepare strong brewed coffee).
  • Combine: Once the milk is hot, whisk it until frothy. In your mug, add the pumpkin mixture and espresso, then pour the frothed milk on top. Stir to combine.
  • Top with whipped cream: Optionally, top your latte with a swirl of whipped cream and a sprinkle of ground cinnamon or pumpkin spice for extra festive flair.
  • Serve: Serve hot and enjoy your cozy, witchy brew!

Notes

  • For a more “magical” vibe, consider adding a dash of edible glitter to the top of the whipped cream!
  • You can also substitute the maple syrup with honey or any sweetener you prefer.
  • If you prefer a dairy-free version, use almond, oat, or coconut milk.
