Description

This White Pizza is the perfect cheesy, flavorful treat for anyone who loves a rich and creamy pizza. Topped with mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan, and finished with a hint of garlic and fresh basil, this pizza is a classic favorite without the traditional tomato sauce. It’s crispy, indulgent, and full of flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal (for dusting)
  • 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
  • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely grated
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 6 ounces fresh mozzarella, torn into small pieces
  • 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
  • Sprinkle the cornmeal onto a baking sheet or pizza peel to prevent the dough from sticking. Roll out the pizza dough on the cornmeal to your desired thickness, forming a round or rectangular shape.
  • Drizzle the olive oil over the dough and spread it evenly with a brush or the back of a spoon.
  • Grate the garlic and sprinkle it evenly over the pizza dough.
  • Sprinkle the crushed red pepper flakes across the pizza, followed by salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Evenly distribute the fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan cheeses over the pizza.
  • If using a pizza stone, carefully slide the pizza onto the stone. If using a baking sheet, simply place it into the oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.
  • Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Slice and serve hot!

Notes

  • You can also add other toppings like sautéed spinach or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
  • For a more crispy crust, you can bake the pizza for an extra 2-3 minutes on the bottom rack of your oven.
  • If you want a richer pizza, drizzle with a bit more olive oil after baking.
