- 1/4 cup yellow cornmeal (for dusting)
- 1 pound pizza dough (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, finely grated
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 6 ounces fresh mozzarella, torn into small pieces
- 1/2 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/3 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil leaves (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats up.
- Sprinkle the cornmeal onto a baking sheet or pizza peel to prevent the dough from sticking. Roll out the pizza dough on the cornmeal to your desired thickness, forming a round or rectangular shape.
- Drizzle the olive oil over the dough and spread it evenly with a brush or the back of a spoon.
- Grate the garlic and sprinkle it evenly over the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle the crushed red pepper flakes across the pizza, followed by salt and black pepper to taste.
- Evenly distribute the fresh mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan cheeses over the pizza.
- If using a pizza stone, carefully slide the pizza onto the stone. If using a baking sheet, simply place it into the oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling and slightly browned.
- Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Slice and serve hot!

- You can also add other toppings like sautéed spinach or caramelized onions for extra flavor.
- For a more crispy crust, you can bake the pizza for an extra 2-3 minutes on the bottom rack of your oven.
