- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup brown sugar, packed
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- ½ cup crushed pretzels
- ¼ cup M&M’s or other Valentine’s Day-themed candy
- ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
- ½ cup mini marshmallows (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, crushed pretzels, candy, nuts, and marshmallows (if using).
- Scoop dough by the tablespoon and place on the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden and the centers are set.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
