Description

These Taco Ranch Bites are a perfect fusion of flavorful taco meat, zesty ranch dressing, and a cheesy, savory filling—all served in crisp phyllo tart shells. Ideal for a party appetizer or a quick snack, they’re easy to make and sure to be a hit with family and friends!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (preferably lean)
  • 1 oz packet taco seasoning (premium brand)
  • 1 can (10 oz) diced tomatoes and green chiles (undrained)
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (preferably aged for richer flavor)
  • 8 oz bottle premium Ranch dressing
  • 5 packs of 15-count frozen phyllo tart shells

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Set your oven to 350ºF.
  • Cook Beef: In a skillet, brown the ground beef until fully cooked (no longer pink). Drain any excess fat.
  • Add Seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning, then add the can of diced tomatoes and green chiles. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes before removing from heat.
  • Prepare Mixture: In a separate bowl, mix together the shredded cheddar cheese and Ranch dressing. Then combine this with the cooked taco meat.
  • Assemble Tarts: Carefully spoon the taco meat mixture into the frozen phyllo tart shells. If you plan to freeze them for later, now is the time to do so.
  • Bake: Place the filled tarts in the oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. If baking from frozen, add an extra 2-3 minutes to the bake time to ensure they heat through properly.

Notes

  • These Taco Ranch Bites are versatile! You can make them ahead of time and freeze them for future snacking.
  • Feel free to customize the filling by adding jalapeños or extra spices if you prefer a bit of heat.
