Description

A delightful dessert featuring a rich and creamy cream cheese filling topped with fresh, juicy strawberries, all nestled in a crisp, buttery tart crust. Perfect for any occasion, this tart offers a perfect balance of sweetness and tanginess.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package of cream cheese (8 oz), softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 pre-made tart shell (or homemade, if preferred)
  • 1 pint fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon strawberry jam (optional, for glazing)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven and bake the tart shell according to the package instructions, if using a store-bought crust. Let it cool completely.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Use a hand mixer or stand mixer to blend until smooth.
  • In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  • Spoon the cream cheese mixture into the cooled tart shell and smooth it out evenly.
  • Arrange sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese filling in a decorative pattern.
  • (Optional) Warm the strawberry jam slightly in the microwave, then brush it over the strawberries to give a nice glossy finish.
  • Chill the tart in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute the pre-made tart shell with a homemade one if you prefer.
  • For added flavor, you can sprinkle a little lemon zest into the cream cheese mixture.
  • This tart can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Prep Time: 20 minutes (excluding chilling time)
  • Cook Time: 15 minutes (if baking a homemade crust)
