Description

These delightful strawberry cake truffles are a fun and indulgent treat. They combine moist, flavorful strawberry cake with a rich coating of chocolate. Perfect for parties, holidays, or just a sweet snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box of strawberry cake mix (or homemade strawberry cake)
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups white chocolate chips (or pink chocolate, for extra strawberry flair)
  • Optional: Sprinkles or crushed freeze-dried strawberries for coating

Instructions

  • Bake the Cake: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Prepare the strawberry cake mix according to the instructions on the box. Bake it in a greased 9×13 inch pan for about 25-30 minutes. Allow the cake to cool completely.
  • Make the Cake Truffle Mixture: Crumble the cooled cake into a large bowl. Add cream cheese and powdered sugar. Mix together until well combined. The mixture should be thick enough to form balls but still moist.
  • Form the Truffles: Roll the cake mixture into small, bite-sized balls (about 1 inch in diameter). Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Coat the Truffles: Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second increments, stirring in between, until smooth. Dip each cake ball into the melted chocolate, making sure it’s fully coated. Place the dipped truffles back on the parchment-lined sheet.
  • Let Set: Allow the truffles to cool and the chocolate to harden. If desired, sprinkle the truffles with sprinkles or crushed freeze-dried strawberries for extra decoration.
  • Enjoy!: Serve your strawberry cake truffles at room temperature, and enjoy a burst of strawberry flavor in every bite!

Notes

  • If you prefer a darker chocolate coating, you can use milk or dark chocolate instead of white chocolate.
  • You can store these truffles in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
  • These truffles also make a great gift if placed in a cute jar or box.
