Ingredients
Scale
- 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 1 package (12 oz) mini cocktail sausages or hot dogs
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional, for dipping)
- 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
- Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.
- Place a mini sausage at the wide end of each dough triangle.
- Roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end, until it forms a tight little bundle.
- Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each.
- If desired, brush the tops of the dough with a beaten egg to give them a golden finish. Sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds for extra flavor.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the sausages are heated through.
- Serve warm with mustard or ketchup for dipping, if desired.
Notes
- You can substitute the mini sausages with regular hot dogs cut into smaller pieces for a different flavor.
- For a more festive look, try adding a sprinkle of shredded cheese inside the dough before wrapping the sausage.
