Description

Pigs in a Blanket are a fun, bite-sized appetizer that combines savory mini sausages wrapped in soft, golden crescent dough. Perfect for parties, game nights, or any occasion where you need a crowd-pleasing snack. These little treats are quick, easy to make, and always a hit!


Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 package (12 oz) mini cocktail sausages or hot dogs
  • 1 tbsp mustard (optional, for dipping)
  • 1 egg (optional, for egg wash)
  • 1 tbsp sesame seeds or poppy seeds (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  • Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles along the perforated lines.
  • Place a mini sausage at the wide end of each dough triangle.
  • Roll the dough around the sausage, starting from the wide end, until it forms a tight little bundle.
  • Place the wrapped sausages on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each.
  • If desired, brush the tops of the dough with a beaten egg to give them a golden finish. Sprinkle with sesame or poppy seeds for extra flavor.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and the sausages are heated through.
