Description

This Pepperoni Pizza Layer Cake takes pizza night to the next level! Layers of pizza dough, marinara sauce, gooey cheese, and pepperoni stacked high like a cake, make this the ultimate crowd-pleaser at any party or gathering. Each bite is a perfect slice of pizza goodness!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cans pizza dough
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (or pizza sauce)
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup sliced pepperoni
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried oregano
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Roll out the pizza dough into 6 equal circles (using a pizza pan or a round baking dish as a guide).
  • Place the dough circles on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and bake for 8-10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Once the dough is baked, remove from the oven and set aside.
  • In a round cake pan, start layering the pizza. Begin with a dough circle at the bottom, then spread a layer of marinara sauce, followed by a sprinkle of mozzarella cheese and a layer of pepperoni. Repeat this process until you have used all the dough circles and toppings.
  • Finish with a layer of mozzarella cheese on top and a sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake the pizza cake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from the oven, let it cool for a few minutes, and then carefully slice and serve.
  • Garnish with fresh basil if desired.

Notes

  • For a variation, you can add other pizza toppings like mushrooms, bell peppers, or olives between the layers.
  • If you prefer a crispier crust, you can bake the individual dough circles a little longer before stacking.
  • Serve with extra marinara sauce on the side for dipping!
