- 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough (or homemade dough if preferred)
- 2 large fresh lemons (for zest and juice)
- 8 oz full-fat cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3 tbsp melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it into the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish. Seal the seams.
- In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese with sugar until smooth. Add the zest and juice of the lemons, and beat until well incorporated.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Drizzle melted butter over the top of the cream cheese layer. Sprinkle with an additional 2 tbsp sugar.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set.
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting into squares. For best results, chill in the fridge for an hour before serving.

- For extra tanginess, add more lemon juice or zest.
