This Lazy Chicken Parmesan Grilled Cheese takes everything you love about classic chicken parm and melts it between two slices of buttery garlic bread. Crispy chicken patties, gooey provolone, rich marinara, and a sprinkle of parmesan—it’s comfort food made quick and easy!
Ingredients
-
2 frozen breaded chicken patties (such as Tyson®)
-
2 tablespoons garlic butter (or to taste)
-
4 slices Italian bread
-
1 cup marinara sauce
-
½ teaspoon dried basil (or to taste)
-
1 pinch garlic salt (or to taste)
-
6 thin slices provolone cheese
-
2 tablespoons shredded Parmesan cheese
Instructions
-
Cook the Chicken Patties:
Prepare frozen breaded chicken patties according to package directions until golden and crispy. Set aside. -
Prep the Bread:
Spread garlic butter on one side of each bread slice. Sprinkle lightly with garlic salt for extra flavor. -
Assemble the Sandwiches:
Place buttered side down on a pan or skillet. Layer each slice with provolone cheese, a cooked chicken patty, a few spoonfuls of marinara sauce, a sprinkle of basil, and shredded Parmesan. Top with another slice of provolone and finish with the second bread slice, buttered side up. -
Grill the Sandwiches:
Cook in a skillet over medium heat for 2–4 minutes per side, or until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted. -
Serve:
Slice in half and serve hot with extra marinara on the side if desired.
Notes
Want it spicier? Add red pepper flakes or use spicy marinara.
You can use mozzarella instead of provolone for a stretchier cheese pull.
