Description

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup caramel chips or chopped caramel candies
  • Sea salt (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  • In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  • Fold in the caramel chips or chopped caramel candies.
  • Scoop dough onto the baking sheet using a cookie scoop, leaving space between each cookie.
  • Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of sea salt.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
