- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking soda
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup brown sugar
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup caramel chips or chopped caramel candies
- Sea salt (for sprinkling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, mix the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the caramel chips or chopped caramel candies.
- Scoop dough onto the baking sheet using a cookie scoop, leaving space between each cookie.
- Sprinkle each cookie with a pinch of sea salt.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For extra caramel flavor, add more caramel chips or candy pieces.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week.
