Description

These Hot Cheeto Mozzarella Sticks are the ultimate snack for cheese lovers and spice enthusiasts. Coated in a crunchy, spicy Hot Cheeto crust and filled with gooey melted mozzarella, they’re the perfect combination of savory and fiery. Serve them with ranch or blue cheese for the perfect dip!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 bag (8.5 ounces / 6 cups) Flaming Hot Cheetos, crushed (3 cups)
  • 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks, cut in half
  • 1/2 cup (62.5 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 4 large eggs, room temperature
  • Parsley, chopped, for garnish
  • Ranch or blue cheese dressing, for dipping

Instructions

  • Prepare three shallow bowls: one with the flour, salt, and garlic powder mixed together; one with the beaten eggs; and one with the crushed Hot Cheetos.
  • Take each mozzarella stick and coat it in the flour mixture, then dip it in the eggs, and finally coat it with the crushed Hot Cheetos. Press down lightly to ensure the Cheetos stick.
  • Repeat the process with all mozzarella sticks.
  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C). Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches for about 1-2 minutes or until golden and crispy.
  • Once fried, place the mozzarella sticks on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing for dipping.

Notes

  • For an extra spicy kick, use the extra Flaming Hot Cheetos dust for sprinkling on top of the mozzarella sticks.
  • Make sure to freeze the mozzarella sticks for about 30 minutes before frying to prevent them from melting too quickly.
  • You can also bake these in the oven at 400°F (200°C) for a healthier alternative.
