Description

These Honey Garlic Chicken Wings are the perfect combination of sweet and savory. With crispy skin, tender meat, and a glaze made from honey, garlic, and a hint of soy sauce, these wings are an irresistible treat for any occasion!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split into flats and drums)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)

  • Chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil and place a wire rack on top.
  • Prep the wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss them in olive oil, salt, and pepper.
  • Bake the wings: Arrange the wings in a single layer on the wire rack and bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  • Make the sauce: While the wings bake, heat a small saucepan over medium heat. Add the honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, and apple cider vinegar. Stir and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes, until it thickens slightly.
  • Coat the wings: Once the wings are done, remove them from the oven and transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey garlic sauce over the wings and toss until they are fully coated.

  • Garnish and serve: Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions (optional). Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra crispy wings, you can broil them for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
  • If you prefer a spicier flavor, increase the amount of crushed red pepper flakes.

  • You can also make this recipe in an air fryer by cooking the wings at 400°F for about 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through.
