Description

This comforting French Onion Beef Casserole combines the rich flavors of French onion dip with hearty ground beef and egg noodles. Topped with crispy fried onions, it’s a perfect, easy-to-make casserole for family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale

  • 10 ounces dried egg noodles

  • 1 pound lean ground beef

  • Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 cans (10.75 ounces, each) condensed cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 (15 ounce) jar Lay’s French Onion Dip

  • 1/2 cup French’s fried onions

  • Freshly chopped parsley, if desired (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

  • Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  • In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in the cream of mushroom soup and Lay’s French Onion Dip into the skillet with the beef. Mix well.

  • Add the cooked egg noodles into the beef and soup mixture, stirring to combine everything evenly.

  • Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13-inch casserole dish.

  • Top the casserole with French’s fried onions.

  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the casserole is hot and bubbly and the fried onions are golden brown.

  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired.

  • Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

You can substitute the ground beef with ground turkey or chicken for a leaner option.

For extra flavor, you can add a bit of shredded cheddar cheese on top before baking.

If you prefer a crunchier topping, you can add more fried onions.
