Description

These Easy Shrimp Tacos are a quick and flavorful meal that combines juicy shrimp with savory seasonings, all wrapped in soft flour tortillas. Customize with your favorite toppings for a tasty, light, and satisfying dish.

  • 1 pound medium shrimp (thawed & peeled)

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika

  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin

  • ½ teaspoon chili powder

  • 810 medium flour tortillas

  • Toppings (optional, to taste): sour cream, salsa, iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, cilantro, etc.


Instructions

  • Prepare the Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels. In a small bowl, combine garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, cumin, and chili powder.

  • Season the Shrimp: Drizzle the shrimp with olive oil and toss them in the seasoning mixture until evenly coated.

  • Cook the Shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the seasoned shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the shrimp turn pink and opaque. Remove from heat.

  • Warm the Tortillas: Warm the flour tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave for a few seconds until soft and pliable.

  • Assemble the Tacos: Place the cooked shrimp on the warmed tortillas and top with your desired toppings such as sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomatoes, and cilantro.

 

  • Serve: Serve immediately with a wedge of lime on the side for extra freshness.

Notes

You can swap the flour tortillas with corn tortillas for a gluten-free option.

For extra heat, add some diced jalapeños or a drizzle of hot sauce.
