A beautiful and festive pie with vibrant colors and a delicious combination of creamy filling and a flaky crust. Perfect for your Easter celebrations, this pie is both eye-catching and mouthwatering!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package refrigerated pie crusts (or homemade)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 package cream cheese (8 oz), softened
- 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup fruit preserves (such as raspberry or strawberry)
- Food coloring (optional, for the swirl effect)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Roll out the pie crusts and line a 9-inch pie dish with one crust. Place the second crust on a parchment-lined surface and set it aside.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add the heavy cream and condensed milk, and mix until well combined.
- Add the vanilla extract and stir.
- If you want to add color to the filling, divide the mixture into small bowls and stir in different food coloring to create the swirl effect.
- Pour the colored mixture into the pie crust, alternating spoonfuls of each color to create a swirled effect.
- Use a knife or skewer to gently swirl the colors together.
- Place the second pie crust over the top and crimp the edges to seal.
- Cut a few slits in the top to allow steam to escape.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the crust is golden and the filling is set.
- Let the pie cool before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Use seasonal fruit preserves to add more flavor and color to the pie.
- You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less sugar.
