Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup packed brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 package Oreo cookies (about 14 cookies)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone mats.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the eggs, one at a time, and add the vanilla extract. Mix until combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Take a heaping tablespoon of cookie dough and flatten it in your palm. Place an Oreo cookie in the center and wrap the dough around the Oreo, sealing it completely.
- Place the dough balls onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are golden brown. The cookies will continue to cook as they cool.
- Let the cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For an extra touch, sprinkle a little sea salt on top of the cookies before baking for a sweet and salty flavor.
- If you prefer soft cookies, underbake them slightly for an even chewier texture.
- These cookies can be stored in an airtight container for up to 5 days or frozen for longer storage.
