Ingredients

  • 2 pounds beef stew meat (or beef tips)

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 cup low-sodium beef broth

  • 3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce

  • 2 tablespoons “Better Than Bouillon” beef base or 2 beef bouillon cubes

  • 2.87 oz low-sodium brown gravy packets (or 1/2 cup cornstarch)

Instructions

  • Place the beef stew meat in the crockpot.

  • Season with salt and pepper, and add minced garlic.

  • Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.

  • Stir in the “Better Than Bouillon” beef base or dissolved bouillon cubes.

  • Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until the beef is tender.

  • During the last 30 minutes of cooking, add the brown gravy packets or cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.

  • Meanwhile, cook egg noodles according to package instructions.

  • Serve the beef mixture over the cooked noodles

Notes

For added flavor, consider browning the beef in a skillet before adding it to the crockpot.

Feel free to add vegetables like mushrooms, onions, or carrots to the crockpot for a more hearty meal.
