Description

These Cinnamon Roll French Toast Roll-Ups are a perfect sweet breakfast treat. Soft bread is filled with a cinnamon-sugar filling, rolled up, dipped in a French toast batter, and fried to golden perfection. Sweet, fluffy, and indulgent, these rolls are a crowd-pleaser for breakfast or brunch!

Ingredients

  • Use fresh, soft bread for best rolling.
  • Don’t oversoak the bread in the egg mixture.
  • Keep the heat at medium to prevent burning.
  • Can be made ahead and reheated. Freezes well for up to 1 month.

Instructions

  • Prepare the bread: Remove crusts from bread slices and flatten each slice using a rolling pin.
  • Make the cinnamon filling: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread evenly over each slice of bread, leaving a small border around the edges.
  • Roll up the bread: Roll each slice tightly and seal the edges by gently pressing them.
  • Make the egg mixture: In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
  • Cook: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Dip each roll in the egg mixture and place it seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, rotating to brown all sides.
  • Serve: Once golden and crispy, serve and enjoy!
