Ingredients
- Use fresh, soft bread for best rolling.
- Don’t oversoak the bread in the egg mixture.
- Keep the heat at medium to prevent burning.
- Can be made ahead and reheated. Freezes well for up to 1 month.
Instructions
- Prepare the bread: Remove crusts from bread slices and flatten each slice using a rolling pin.
- Make the cinnamon filling: In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Spread evenly over each slice of bread, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Roll up the bread: Roll each slice tightly and seal the edges by gently pressing them.
- Make the egg mixture: In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.
- Cook: Heat a skillet over medium heat and add butter. Dip each roll in the egg mixture and place it seam-side down in the skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes, rotating to brown all sides.
- Serve: Once golden and crispy, serve and enjoy!
