Description

Craving something sweet in a hurry? This single-serving Chocolate Peanut Butter Mug Cake is the perfect solution! With rich chocolate cake and a gooey peanut butter center, it’s a decadent treat that’s ready in just minutes. Perfect for satisfying that late-night dessert craving!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/8 tsp baking powder
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 3 tbsp milk (any type)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter (smooth or crunchy)
  • Optional: chocolate chips for added gooeyness

Instructions

  • In a microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • Add the milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract. Stir until smooth.
  • Drop 1 tablespoon of peanut butter in the center of the batter.
  • Microwave on high for 1 minute 15 seconds to 1 minute 30 seconds, or until the cake has risen and is set in the center.
  • Let the mug cake cool for a minute before enjoying. If desired, top with chocolate chips or extra peanut butter.

Notes

  • For an extra indulgent touch, add some chocolate chips or chopped peanuts to the batter before microwaving.
  • The cake is best enjoyed fresh, but you can store it in the fridge for up to 1 day if you have leftovers.
  • Be careful not to overcook the cake. Microwaves vary, so start with 1 minute and check for doneness, adding additional time if needed.
