Description

These Cheesy Chicken Wraps are a delicious, easy-to-make dinner that combines tender, juicy chicken with gooey melted cheese wrapped in a soft tortilla. Perfect for a quick weeknight meal or a fun family dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) Italian sausage meat (mild or spicy)
  • 4 servings of pasta (farfalle pasta used in this recipe)
  • 2 garlic cloves, peeled and roughly chopped
  • 7 oz (200g) cherry tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • 1 handful of fresh spinach
  • 2 tablespoons tomato puree
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon chili flakes

  • ½ teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Start by cooking the pasta according to the package instructions. Once done, drain and set aside.
  • Cook the Sausage: Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the Italian sausage meat and cook, breaking it up as it browns, until fully cooked.
  • Prepare the Veggies: Add the chopped garlic and cherry tomatoes to the pan, and sauté until the tomatoes soften.
  • Add the Spices: Stir in paprika, cayenne pepper, chili flakes, and pepper. Let the spices cook for a minute to release their flavor.
  • Add Tomato Puree: Mix in the tomato puree and let it simmer for a few minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
  • Add Spinach: Stir in the fresh spinach and cook until it wilts.
  • Combine with Pasta: Add the cooked pasta to the pan and toss everything together, ensuring the pasta is well coated in the sauce.
  • Assemble the Wraps: Spoon the cheesy sausage pasta mixture onto tortillas and wrap them tightly.

  • Serve and Enjoy: Optionally, you can melt extra cheese over the wraps before serving for an extra cheesy touch!

Notes

  • You can use any type of cheese you prefer for extra gooeyness.

  • For a bit of extra flavor, consider adding a dollop of sour cream or a squeeze of lime juice before wrapping.
