Description
A warm, savory sandwich loaded with juicy deli turkey, crispy bacon, fresh spinach, tangy honey mustard, and melty white cheddar cheese, all on thick slices of toasted sourdough bread. Perfect for a satisfying lunch or dinner.
Ingredients
-
4 slices sourdough or thick, crusty bread of choice
-
2 tablespoons honey mustard
-
2 slices white cheddar cheese
-
4 slices deli turkey
-
Thin tomato slices from 1 medium red tomato
-
½ cup fresh baby spinach
-
4 strips cooked bacon
-
2 tablespoons butter
Instructions
-
Prepare the bread: Spread honey mustard on one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
-
Assemble the sandwich: Place a slice of cheddar cheese on one slice of bread, followed by the deli turkey, tomato slices, fresh spinach, and crispy bacon. Top with the second slice of bread, mustard side down.
-
Cook the sandwich: Heat a skillet over medium heat and melt the butter in the pan. Place the assembled sandwich in the skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
-
Serve: Once the sandwich is perfectly toasted and the cheese is melted, remove from the skillet, slice, and serve warm.
Notes
-
You can use any type of bread, but sourdough gives this sandwich a nice tangy flavor.
-
For a lighter version, you can skip the bacon or use turkey bacon.
-
Add a few pickles or a drizzle of balsamic glaze for extra flavor.
