    • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
    • 1 cup blueberries
  • For the Bread Layers:

    • 2 loaves cubed French bread
  • For the Egg Mixture:

    • 2 cups milk
    • 8 eggs
    • 1 teaspoon cinnamon powder
    • ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • 1 cup blueberries

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cream Cheese Mixture:

    • In a bowl, mix together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, 2 tablespoons of milk, and 1 tablespoon vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
    • Gently fold in 1 cup of blueberries.

    • Top with the remaining bread cubes.
  3. Prepare and Add the Egg Mixture:

    • In a large bowl, whisk together 2 cups of milk, eggs, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
    • Pour this mixture over the layered bread, ensuring all bread is soaked.
    • Sprinkle 1 cup of blueberries on top.
    • Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight.
    • Remove from the refrigerator 30 to 60 minutes before baking.
  4. Preheat the Oven:

    • Total baking time is approximately 75 minutes.
  6. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • You can use any type of bread (sourdough, brioche) for a different flavor.
  • Feel free to add more cinnamon or nutmeg to taste if you like extra warmth and spice.
  • If you prefer a less sweet casserole, reduce the powdered sugar in the cream cheese mixture.
