  • For the Chicken:

    • 1.5 lbs thinly sliced chicken breasts

    • Salt, pepper, and garlic powder, to taste

    • ½ cup all-purpose flour

    • ¼ cup cornstarch

    • 1 cup buttermilk

    • 1 tbsp hot sauce

    • 1 large egg

    • 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs

    • Vegetable or canola oil, for frying

    For the Bang Bang Sauce:

    • ½ cup mayonnaise

    • ¼ cup sweet chili sauce

    • 2 tbsp Sriracha sauce

    • 1 tbsp honey

    • 1 tbsp lime juice

    • 1 tsp garlic powder

    For Assembling the Sliders:

    • 12 slider buns

    • 12 slices mozzarella cheese

    • Shredded lettuce

    • Sliced red onions

    • Pickles (optional)

    • Fresh cilantro, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken:

    • Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

    • Set up a breading station with three bowls:

      • First bowl: Mix flour and cornstarch.

      • Second bowl: Whisk together buttermilk, hot sauce, and egg.

      • Third bowl: Place Panko breadcrumbs.

    • Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, then the buttermilk mixture, and coat with Panko breadcrumbs.

    • Place the breaded chicken on a plate.

  2. Fry the Chicken:

    • Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat.

    • Add chicken to the pan, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F).

    • Place the cooked chicken on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  3. Prepare the Bang Bang Sauce:

    • In a bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, Sriracha, honey, lime juice, and garlic powder.

  4. Assemble the Sliders:

    • Slice the slider buns in half.

    • Spread Bang Bang sauce on the bottom half of each bun.

    • Place a piece of fried chicken on each bun.

    • Top with mozzarella cheese while the chicken is still warm.

    • Add shredded lettuce, sliced onions, and pickles if desired.

    • Place the top half of the bun over the ingredients.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of Sriracha in the sauce to make it spicier if you prefer.

  • You can prepare the chicken and sauce ahead of time, then assemble the sliders before serving.
