Description

These warm, gooey Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders are perfect for any occasion. Soft Hawaiian rolls are layered with savory ham and melted cheese, then baked in a buttery, tangy glaze for an irresistible treat. They’re easy to make, and everyone will love them!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 Hawaiian rolls (or slider buns)
  • 12 slices of deli ham
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (or cheddar, if preferred)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the entire pack of rolls in half horizontally (keeping the top and bottom attached) and place the bottom half in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer 6 slices of ham on the bottom half of the rolls. Follow with 6 slices of cheese.
  • Place the top half of the rolls on top of the ham and cheese.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, onion powder, poppy seeds, salt, and pepper.
  • Pour the butter mixture evenly over the tops of the sliders, making sure each one is well-coated.
  • Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  • Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • You can make these sliders in advance by assembling them, covering, and refrigerating them for up to 12 hours before baking.
  • Feel free to swap out the Swiss cheese for cheddar, provolone, or any other cheese you like.
  • For extra flavor, you can add a layer of pickles or mustard before adding the ham and cheese.
