Description

These Baked Ham and Cheese Sliders are the perfect combination of savory ham, melty cheese, and soft, buttery rolls. Perfect for parties, game days, or a quick weeknight dinner, these sliders are easy to make and always a crowd-pleaser. With a tasty mustard sauce and a golden, crispy top, these sliders are sure to be a hit!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider rolls (Hawaiian rolls or any soft, sweet rolls)
  • 1 lb deli ham, thinly sliced
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese (or any preferred cheese)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp poppy seeds (optional)
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  • Slice the slider rolls in half horizontally without separating them, creating one large sandwich of rolls. Place the bottom half of the rolls in the prepared baking dish.

  • Layer the ham evenly on the bottom half of the rolls. Top with the Swiss cheese slices.

  • Place the top half of the rolls on top of the cheese, pressing down gently.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, onion powder, garlic powder, poppy seeds (if using), salt, and pepper.

  • Pour the butter mixture evenly over the top of the rolls, making sure each slider is well-coated.

  • Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Then, remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the sliders are golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  • Remove from the oven, slice the sliders, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can substitute the Swiss cheese with other cheeses like cheddar, provolone, or gouda for different flavor combinations.
  • Add pickles or a drizzle of honey mustard for extra flavor!
