Description

This Bacon-Wrapped Steak combines the rich, smoky flavor of bacon with a perfectly seared, juicy steak. It’s an easy yet impressive dish that’s perfect for any special occasion or a weekend dinner. The bacon adds extra flavor and crispiness to the steak, creating a savory combination that will melt in your mouth.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 rib-eye or filet mignon steaks (about 6 oz each)
  • 8 strips of thick-cut bacon
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary, chopped (or 1 tsp dried rosemary)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp butter (optional for finishing)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Season the steaks with salt, pepper, minced garlic, and rosemary on both sides.
  • Wrap each steak with two strips of bacon, securing the bacon with toothpicks if necessary.
  • Heat olive oil in a large oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Once the pan is hot, sear the steaks for 2-3 minutes per side until the bacon is crisp and the steak has a nice brown crust.
  • Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake the steaks for 6-8 minutes (for medium-rare) or longer, depending on your desired doneness.
  • Remove the steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before serving. Optionally, add a small pat of butter on top to melt over the steak for extra richness.

Notes

  • You can use other cuts of steak like sirloin or T-bone, but rib-eye or filet mignon are ideal for this recipe.
  • For extra flavor, try marinating the steaks before cooking.
  • You can broil the steaks for a few minutes at the end of cooking to make the bacon extra crispy.
