Description

These Air Fryer Chicken Wings are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, made in a fraction of the time compared to traditional frying. The simple seasoning and air frying method make them a healthier alternative without sacrificing flavor!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs chicken wings (split into flats and drums)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder (for extra crispiness)

  • Optional sauce: Hot sauce, BBQ sauce, or honey garlic sauce (for tossing after cooking)

Instructions

  • Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  • Prep the wings: Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. This helps achieve a crispy texture.
  • Season the wings: In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, and baking powder. Ensure the wings are evenly coated.
  • Air fry the wings: Place the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If necessary, cook in batches to avoid overcrowding. Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 20-25 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time.
  • Optional sauce: If you want to coat the wings with sauce, toss them in your desired sauce immediately after air frying.

  • Serve: Serve hot with dipping sauces like ranch, blue cheese, or your favorite sauce.

Notes

  • Crispier wings: For extra crispy wings, you can spray the wings with a bit of cooking spray before air frying.
  • Sauce options: These wings go great with a variety of sauces like buffalo, BBQ, teriyaki, or a simple honey garlic glaze.

  • Storage: Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Reheat them in the air fryer to maintain their crispiness.
