Ingredients
Scale
- 10–12 chicken wings, separated into flats and drumettes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- ½ cup buffalo wing sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter (optional, for extra richness)
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture.
- In a large bowl, toss the wings with olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
- Arrange the wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to work in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
- Air fry the wings at 400°F for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until they are golden and crispy.
- While the wings are cooking, melt the buffalo sauce and butter together in a small saucepan over low heat, or in the microwave for 30 seconds.
- Once the wings are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl and pour the buffalo sauce over the top. Toss to coat the wings evenly in the sauce.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauce and veggies!
Notes
- If you like your wings extra crispy, air fry for an additional 3-5 minutes.
- You can adjust the heat level of the buffalo sauce by adding more or less hot sauce or cayenne pepper.
- Serve with a side of celery and ranch or blue cheese dressing for the perfect pairing.
