Description
This Air Fryer Buffalo Cauliflower is a crispy, spicy, and healthier take on classic buffalo wings. Coated in a flavorful batter and brushed with tangy buffalo sauce, it makes for a perfect appetizer, snack, or side dish. Plus, it’s easy to make in the air fryer!
Ingredients
-
⅔ cup all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
-
¼ cup cornstarch
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 teaspoon onion powder
-
1 teaspoon paprika
-
½ teaspoon sea salt
-
¾ cup water
-
1 head cauliflower (about 2 pounds), broken into large florets
-
Buffalo sauce (for brushing)
-
Vegan ranch (for dipping, optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a large bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, sea salt, and water. Stir until the batter is smooth.
-
Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, coating it completely. Let any excess batter drip off.
-
Place the battered cauliflower florets in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
-
Air fry the cauliflower for 12-15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the cauliflower is crispy and golden.
-
Once the cauliflower is cooked, remove from the air fryer and brush generously with buffalo sauce.
-
Serve immediately with vegan ranch for dipping, if desired.
Notes
Buffalo sauce: You can use store-bought buffalo sauce or make your own by mixing hot sauce with melted vegan butter.
Cauliflower: For extra crispy cauliflower, make sure to leave space between the florets in the air fryer basket.
Dipping sauce: If you’re not vegan, you can use regular ranch or blue cheese dressing.
